Rohingya Malnutrition Appeal

Single donation
could provide five weeks of emergency therapeutic food for one malnourished Rohingya child in Cox’s Bazar

In Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, thousands of Rohingya children are at serious risk of malnutrition. Your support today will provide life-saving treatment.

Almost one in every five children in the world's largest refugee camp are suffering from malnutrition.

Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh has been home to almost one million Rohingya refugees since April 2017, when they were forced to flee their homes in Myanmar. Almost a decade later, they have never been able to return home.

With more than 40,000 babies being born into exile here every year, they feel the pain of hunger in their first days, weeks and months. Currently, 15% of children in the camp are malnourished.

They need your support today.

Anwar's story

Anwar's mother Ayesha* was forced to flee Myanmar back in 2017 and has been living in Cox's Bazar ever since.

While pregnant with her son, Ayesha was advised by a Concern Worldwide volunteer to attend a nutrition clinic, where she was told she would need additional nutritional support in the form of Super Cereal.

Sadly, when Anwar was just seven months old, he became ill and began to grow weaker and weaker. Ayesha took him to a Concern-supported nutrition clinic, where her worst fears were confirmed - Anwar was severely malnourished. He received the treatment he needed and thankfully, his health improved.

However, Ayesha continues to worry.

“If Concern Worldwide does not support us, it will not be easy to get our nutrition," she tells us. "If this support stops, we will suffer without all the help.”

How you can help

By donating today, you can help children like Anwar to access life-saving treatment in the fight against malnutrition.

Your donation can help to provide the most vulnerable members of the Rohingya population in Cox's Bazar with emergency therapeutic food and support them as they return to health.

Your support can also provide Super Cereal and folic acid for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

Please give what you can today.
