Anne O’Mahony attended Primary and Secondary school in Bandon, Co.Cork, trained as a nurse in Bon Secours Hospital Cork, with midwifery training, in Holles St., Dublin and achieved an MSc (econ) in Development Economics and Planning from Swansea University.

Anne joined Concern in 1982 and worked overseas in various roles from volunteer to Country Director for the next 27 years. Following this Anne served as a Concern Regional Director and, finally, as Overseas Director until her retirement in 2021.

Anne currently serves as chair of the Board for Concern Kenya.

Mr. Abdi-Rashid Haji Nur has lived in Somalia throughout the civil war and worked with Concern Worldwide for thirty-two years, beginning with the famine of 1992. He served in various capacities before stepping down from his role as Somalia Country Director in August 2024. During this period, the Somalia program experienced substantial growth despite persistent operational challenges and overlapping humanitarian crises. Moreover, Concern Worldwide emerged as one of the most respected international NGOs, fostering strong partnerships with key donors, local and national authorities, and the communities it serves.

Abdi-Rashid currently holds a voluntary role with the Somalia National Olympic Committee, where he oversees training programs sponsored by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) aimed at enhancing the capacities of various national federations and associations.

Abdi-Rashid holds a Master of Arts (MA) and a Diploma in Development Studies from Holy Ghost College in Dublin (now merged with Maynooth University), an Executive Master's in Sports Organization Management from the University of Poitiers in France (sponsored by the International Olympic Committee), and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (earned through distance learning) from Washington University in St. Louis, USA.

David Ritchie is Chief Officer of the Representative Church Body (RCB) and Secretary General of the Church of Ireland. The RCB is a charity and trustee body, providing governance, communications, payroll, pension, safeguarding, property, and fund management services for the Church of Ireland. David is a former Director of the financial services company De Lage Landen, part of the Rabobank Group, and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, holds an MBA from University College Dublin and is a qualified Civil Engineer. David worked for Concern in Cambodia and Rwanda, is a trustee of Concern Worldwide (UK) and has previously chaired the Concern Worldwide Finance Committee.

Kevin Doris is a broadcast journalist from Uganda. She has worked extensively on radio and television in Uganda and with the BBC and Norwegian Broadcasting services. She covered COP 15 and its preparations in Denmark. She was the first journalist to interview war criminal Joseph Kony in his hideout in South Sudan. Kevin also presented an award-winning documentary “Kevin: Will my people find peace” which examined how victims of Kony’s so-called Lord’s Resistance Army managed their trauma on their return to their homes.

Kevin also consulted with Creative Associates International, a Washington DC based development organisation. Kevin Doris has a strong interest in development and has been involved in media and development activities in Uganda. She has a degree in Development Studies. During a stay of four years in Thailand, she worked on several development projects in Bangkok, the Thai-Myanmar border ant the Thai-Laos border.

She assisted the Good Shepard Sisters, NoBoh Academy and Hands of Hope respectively. She also worked with the Thai Red Cross and the Thai YWCA. Kevin Doris was requested to become the President of the Thai YWCA in the last year of her stay in Thailand. In Ireland, Kevin worked with bigO media and on a number of film projects. She is interested in all aspects of digital media.

Yvonne Slattery is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland with extensive experience in finance, operational and governance roles in the global and domestic (re)insurance sector. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting & Finance degree and a Masters of Business Studies from Dublin City University. Following her initial training with KPMG, she moved to KPMG in Bermuda and gained international exposure.

During her career she has held a number of different roles, including Executive Director, Company Secretary and Chief Operations Officer to a multi-national reinsurer with branches throughout Europe and Asia. She has experience in engaging with financial and prudential regulators in Ireland, England, Bermuda and Australia. Most recently she is acting as a consultant in the regulatory and financial systems area within the Insurance industry. 

Yvonne was co-opted to Concern's Audit and Risk Committee in 2021 and appointed to the Board of Directors in 2022.

A resident of Edinburgh, Donald was previously Chair of Concern Worldwide (UK). Donald retired after serving his term limit of six years and, throughout this time, served as a member of the Board of Concern Worldwide also.

Donald is a Trustee of Robertson Trust, Scotland’s largest grant giving charity, and has previously worked for RBS, latterly in Asia, and continues to Chair an investment trust that invests in this region. Donald’s expertise in finance and banking, governance and strategy and managing large international operations are the key skills he brings to the Board.

Youngshin Lee is the CEO of the Korea Research-based Pharma Industry Association (KRPIA) and serves on the Board of Directors of the Concern Worldwide Korea Foundation. The key expertise that Youngshin Lee brings to the Board is her knowledge and experience in Governance/Strategy, and her expertise in the area of Marketing and Risk Management.

Vydehi is the Programme Manager for Monitoring and Evaluation at the Health Research Board (HRB) in Dublin, Ireland, where she leads the Monitoring and Evaluation portfolio for the Research Strategy and Funding Directorate. Prior to her role at HRB, she served as the Evaluation and Research Manager at Sport Ireland, where she managed an Evaluation team and successfully led on the design and implementation of a Research Strategy for the organisation. 

Vydehi holds a Master of Science in Development Practice from Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. She also holds certifications in Data Analysis and Impact Evaluation from the London School of Economics and the International Labour Organisation respectively. Vydehi is interested in leveraging her Evaluation expertise to drive positive change and foster evidence-informed decision-making across diverse sectors. 

Vydehi is originally from Hyderabad, India and has served on the Programme Monitoring and Evaluation Committee of the Board of Concern Worldwide since 2021.

Aine Fay has worked with Concern Worldwide for approximately 40 years. She was a volunteer in Bangladesh and has worked in multiple countries in Africa and Asia and in a variety of positions. She was also a member of the Emergency Response Unit for a number of years and has worked in both the Dublin and New York offices.

Aine retired from Concern in November 2021 having served as Country Director in South Sudan. She believes that sufficient time has passed to allow her to continue to serve the organisation in a different capacity. She brings with her a wealth of experience of the overseas arm of the organisation and this would contribute to the work of the Board of Directors.

Ulric Kenny has been an investor in private businesses for the last 20 years. He is Chairman of PrepayPower, which supplies power, gas, heat and broadband to over 200,000 homes in Ireland. His previous investments include Nua Healthcare, Ireland’s largest residential care provider for people with complex intellectual disabilities, which he chaired up until its sale in 2019. He also led investments in Ocean Media, a UK publisher and exhibition organiser, and SWS Energy, which was Ireland’s largest wind energy developer at the time of its sale to Bord Gáis in 2009.

Ulric is a Chartered Accountant and started his career with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, training in Ireland before transfering to Canada and then London.

Ulric has served as a member of the Concern Worldwide Finance Committee since 2022.
