Here you will find information about the programmes and resources that we have specifically for primary schools to support you to deliver Global Citizenship Education.
Hunger Heroes
Hunger Heroes is series of lesson plans, case studies and classroom activities that have been uniquely tailored for senior primary school students (3rd to 6th class pupils) around the theme of Hunger.
The activities have been designed so that multi-class teachers and teachers of junior primary students will also be able to find activities suitable for their class. There will be a cross-curricular approach in the pack with activity suggestions covering everything from literacy and numeracy to drama and art. Use our Teacher’s Packs to learn more about Hunger, Nutrition, and Development.
We encourage teachers to complete a Hunger Heroes action project or fundraiser with their class in order to deepen awareness and understanding and to become Hunger Heroes!

Someone Like Me
‘Someone Like Me’ is an illustrated children's book that tells the stories of children affected by war, natural disaster and extreme poverty. It’s a great educational resource that allows children to understand global development issues and what life is like for other children around the world. You can now download this for free!
We have also developed new resources to be used alongside the book specifically tailored for senior primary school students. Each folder contains a PowerPoint presentation and an activity sheet.
